A keen player will not only have his or her own set of bowls but also many different bowling accessories. Waxing the bowls ensures a faster and truer roll, whilst chalk is often used to mark a bowl that has gone out of play. Many players will also have their own customised mats and some will have stickers to differentiate their bowls from others, if they are playing with someone who has the same coloured bowls. Scorecards will often be kept in plastic wallets. Bowling is a popular sport in the U.K. with many people enjoying a game on a regular basis.
